IITrade has conducted several Executive Development Programs (EDPs) based on WTO studies providing training to executives. This was in collaboration with Govt. of India’s EEPC India (formerly, Engineering Export Promotion Council) on several important topics including Foreign Trade Policy (FTP), Special Economic Zones (SEZs), Regional Trade Agreements (RTAs), Free Trade Agreements (FTAs) including SAFTA, Import-Export Finance, Anti-Dumping Laws and Foreign Exchange Manag- ement.
Several Corporate Training Programs based on International Trade, and Intellectual Property Laws including Patent, Trademark, Copyright etc. have been undertaken by IITrade. These are conducted for executives of various corporate houses, and also including those of nationalized banks, professional bodies and organizations.  In the past 6 years, programs have been conducted for UCO Bank, Institute of Steel Development and Growth (INSDAG), Barak Valley Cements Ltd., Turtle Ltd., Kitply Industries Ltd., GATI Ltd., FIEO, and EEPC India.

IITrade published a book viz. ‘A Monograph on WTO’, authored by the director, Dr. D. R. Agarwal. The present monograph is a maiden effort of the author to give a basic understanding about WTO. It is about giving a general idea about the nature and status of WTO, its structure and scope, the decision making process, dispute resolution, different types of intellectual property rights and so on. However, no critical analysis has been made on the policy aspect of various issues relating to the functioning and the decision making process of WTO. Although an all out effort has been made to be precise and concise so that the readers can benefit on a general idea about WTO but all human efforts suffer from one limitations or the other and therefore the author humbly request the readers to send their comments and criticism for further corrections and refinements.

Dr. D. R. Agarwal

Qualification: B.Com, LLB, FCA, Ph.D (Economics) Experience: Over 30 years Specialization: WTO and IPR

At the Institute of International Trade we design programs that ultimately lead to holistic student growth, which enable students to fit into any role with ease in the corporate world. Our programs provide students with cutting-edge global exposure, innovative programs, robust industry interface, and alumni network. IITrade therefore offers students much more than simply management education. We are a school of education, and not a business school.

Students here are developed according to the demands of the modern economy and fast changing technology. Attitude determines the altitude and to reach the altitude one needs to stick to the path of discipline. We can assume our students will excel in any field of service if s/he is committed to their career and development. Quality is not about the end result but it is about the process of faculty development, course development, and student development.

It is our fundamental belief that our students are a value addition to not only their individual self and their employers but also to the society and the nation. We seek your cooperation in building our nation by making your children a part of our institution.

With sincere regards
Dr. D. R. Agarwal
